Harp therapy is a complementary health modality that uses live, acoustic or vibrotactile harp music to induce rest and support physical and emotional well-being. This therapeutic approach focuses on deep neurological relaxation and cellular resonance using acoustic sound frequencies from the harp.
The instrument's mellow timbre, pure-waveform string acoustics, and physical vibrations felt (from being near the soundbox) provide a calming "cradle of sound" and “musical massage.” Traditional massage therapy uses hands-on physical manipulation of soft tissues and muscles to relieve tension and pain.
Spa treatments focus on physical tissue manipulation, skincare, and tactile touch. Choosing between them depends entirely on whether your body is craving targeted muscle relief or a deeply meditative nervous system reset.
-
Intuitive harp refers to a style of musical expression and therapeutic sound practice where the harpist relies on active listening, energy tuning, and spontaneous improvisation inspired by the recipient’s energy or the natural energy of environment, rather than rigid sheet music or analytical composition.
Instead of reading or planning every note on a page, the player trusts their inner voice, physical sensations, and acoustic feedback to guide improvisation. Unlike structured music, the ambient, androgynous frequencies of intuitive harp lack a predictable beat, which helps turn off the sympathetic "fight-or-flight" response and activates the parasympathetic "rest-and-repair system.
It’s used in sound healing, wellness sessions, and therapeutic practice to promote relaxation, emotional release, and physical comfort.

Vibrotactile harp music combines the acoustic and vibrational properties of the harp with specialized tactile technology to deliver sound directly to the body. This approach bridges traditional sound healing, therapeutic music, and modern vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) to create a deeply immersive physical and emotional experience.
Unlike standard listening, vibrotactile music transforms sound waves into physical vibrations that you can feel through specialized equipment, such as our vibroacoustic monochord singing chair and soundwave bed with 40-strings. The harp is uniquely suited for vibrotactile application.
Because it is a plucked string instrument with a large resonant soundboard, it naturally produces a vast range of rich, pure harmonic overtones and low frequencies that resonate deeply with the human nervous system. Instead of hearing the music strictly through your ears, your body absorbs the sound through skin receptors and bone conduction, delivering a powerful cellular massage.

Founded in 2002 by Kevin and Christine Core, Angelic Reiki is a high-vibrational, hands-off energy healing modality that works directly with the angelic realm, archangels, and ascended masters, to facilitate deep physical, emotional, and spiritual alignment.
The angelic energy is channeled through the practitioner who acts as a vessel while the higher energy of the angels’ cleanses, clears, and recharges you. Angelic Reiki helps with attaining a higher level of mental focus and clarity so that you see yourself, your life and path more clearly. Overtime, it may aid relaxation, improve sleep, and well-being.
It is a universal and non-denominational energy healing modality; you do not need to follow a specific religion, and a personal belief in angels is not required to receive a session.

Sekhem energy healing is a high-frequency, no-touch, multidimensional energy healing modality rooted in the spiritual traditions and temple practices of Ancient Egypt.
The word Sekhem translates to "power" or "might", representing a universal life-force energy—similar to chi, ki, or prana—associated with the lion-headed Egyptian goddess Sekhmet. While similar to Reiki in how it is channeled through the practitioner's hands, Sekhem is often described as more intense and expansive. It works simultaneously across physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy bodies.
This practice heavily emphasizes opening the heart center (chakra) and connecting to unconditional love, intuition, and the higher self. Though traced back to ancient temple priesthoods, the modern system was rediscovered and structured around 1980 by Patrick Zeigler following an experience in the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is also known by related names such as Seichim, and Seichem.

No, you do not need prior knowledge of sound healing or a belief in energy work for a session to be effective. Sound healing works physiologically rather than through belief. You can experience relaxation and stress relief whether you view the practice through a spiritual lens or a purely physical one.
-
No, sound healing is not a substitute for evidence-based medical or mental health care. Sound practices should never replace physician-prescribed treatments, therapy, or medication for physical illnesses or psychiatric conditions. Sound healing (such as harp therapy, sound baths, singing bowls, or binaural beats) can help reduce stress, calm the nervous system, and improve relaxation or sleep, making it a useful complementary tool alongside standard care.

Sessions typically last 60 to 75 minutes in our cozy, nature-inspired and seasonally festive studio overlooking the mountains. You can stow your shoes and belongings in our cubbies and lie down on a yoga mat.
We’ll also provide you with a bolster, pillow, eye pillow, and blanket for maximum comfort. We’ll guide you through a brief breathing exercise and invite you to set a personal intention. The practitioner plays instruments such as crystal or Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, and tuning forks….and the harp!
You do not need to do anything active except listen, receive, and rest. The music slowly softens into silence at the end of the session, and the facilitator gently guides you back to normal awareness. Events or classes may include yoga (i.e. kundalini, or restorative), yoga Nidra, tea and cacao ceremonies, or special themes for the new and full moon, equinoxes, and solstices.

Our Oro Valley studio is a peaceful space. However, occasionally, you may hear sounds from the building or the street outside (North Oracle Road). Rather than treating these sounds as interruptions, we invite you to include them in the experience. Part of meditation is learning that your surroundings don't have to be perfectly quiet for you to find a sense of calm.
-
Falling asleep during a sound bath is completely normal, common, and is actually seen as a sign of success. Your body and skin still pick up the acoustic vibrations and frequencies even while you are sleeping. If you drift off, it usually means your body is tired and simply needs extra sleep and there is no judgment for snoring. Lie on your side instead of flat on your back to help keep your airway open if snoring is a concern.
-
Bring your attention right back to the physical sensations of the room—the feeling of the mat beneath you, the vibration of the instruments moving through the air, or the gentle rhythm of your breath. A sound bath is a passive experience. There is no test to pass, and you don’t even have to try to meditate. Simply letting the sound wash over you is enough, whether your mind is quiet or racing. If the distraction is physical (like a stiff arm, coldness, or an itch), quietly and slowly adjust yourself. Comfort helps your nervous system settle back down.
-
Wear soft, loose, and comfortable clothing like yoga pants, and T-shirts. Bring warm layers, like a sweater or socks, because your body temperature may drop in deep relaxation.
-

-
Yes, you can choose between either option. A 30-minute sound experience is great for beginners who are new to resonant instruments and offers a quick, accessible reset for busy schedules. While a 60-minute session provides the longer time window needed for full brainwave shifts for deeper relaxation, emotional release, and comprehensive nervous system regulation.
-
The harp, monochord singing chair, and soundwave bed each generate rich, cascading string harmonics and tactile physical vibrations. However, sessions with the harp add more harmonic and musical variety. The harp also has a broader sonic range allowing the recipient to experience more resonant frequencies for healing. Our sound therapy offerings without a harp or vibroacoustic equipment rely on crystal bowls, gong, and chimes, etc. to create a sensory and restorative experience.
-
Our cancellation/rescheduling policy is 48 hours for classes and events and 24 hours for appointments. For our pop-up events offsite (outside our Oro Valley studio), our cancellation policy is 7 days prior to the scheduled event.

Private in-person harp therapy and sound bath sessions are available currently in our Oro Valley, Arizona studio only. Private sessions may be offered in-person in Southern California and Southern Maine in the future.
-
Our virtual private sessions are held live and hosted on Zoom and include guided meditation, crystal bowls, chimes and other traditional sound healing instruments. The harp and/or an intuitive reading is included per your appointment booking selection and preference. Listening through good quality headphones or external speakers allows the rich, non-linear tones to help shift your brain out of busy "beta" waves and into calmer "alpha" or "theta" meditative states. It’s also recommended that you lie down or sit comfortably in a quiet space at home, using a mat, blanket, or pillow. Sessions are offered for 30 or 60 minutes, and you will receive a Zoom link 30 minutes before your session.
Health & Safety
-
Sound baths are generally accessible to many people, although individual sensitivities and health considerations are important. Some of our instruments produce powerful sounds (i.e. the gong) that may be uncomfortable for people with certain hearing conditions or sensory sensitivities.
If you have a medical condition that could be affected by loud sounds, sensory stimulation, or prolonged rest, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before attending. You're always welcome to adjust your position, open your eyes, or step away if you feel uncomfortable.
If you have specific concerns, please contact us before your visit. We're happy to discuss what to expect. Please let us know if you're expecting, particularly if you have concerns about sound intensity or comfortable positioning.
-
Hearing conditions or sound sensitivity: If you experience tinnitus, hyperacusis, or sensitivity to loud sounds, please contact us beforehand so we can discuss the experience.
Epilepsy or seizure disorders: If sensory stimulation or meditative practices could affect your condition, consult your healthcare provider before participating.
Recent surgery, injury, or physical limitations: Please consider whether extended periods of lying down or sitting comfortably are appropriate for you.
Significant psychological distress or trauma-related sensitivity: Inward-focused practices can occasionally bring up difficult feelings. If you have concerns, speak with your mental health provider and let us know how we can best support your comfort.
Medical devices or ongoing treatment: If you have an implanted medical device or are undergoing treatment and are uncertain whether the experience is appropriate, we encourage you to check with your healthcare provider.
If you have a disability or food allergen, please contact us in advance so that we can arrange for your comfort.
You are always welcome to adjust your position, open your eyes, or step away if you become uncomfortable.
Our sound baths are intended to support relaxation, awareness, and personal well-being. They are not a replacement for medical or mental health care. If you have questions about whether an experience is right for you, please reach out before booking. We're happy to talk through what to expect.
